Terms and Conditions
These terms are a draft between you and Specs Hub LLC for use of Opto360. By creating an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. We are at specshubllc.com. Email specshub@gmail.com. There is no phone line for this service.
A free service for opticians and labs
Opto360 is free to use for opticians and labs. We may stop offering the service, but we do not charge a fee inside the app today. Features can change as the product changes.
Your account
You must give a real clinic name and an email you can access. You are responsible for the people you add, for their passwords, and for removing access when someone leaves. Do not share a login.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it, with the service
- try to open another clinic’s records
- upload malware or overload the service
- store protected health information if you are a United States clinic (see below)
- use patient data you do not have a right to hold
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Patient data
You own the patient data you store. You are the data controller. We only host and process it to run Opto360. You are responsible for patient consent under the law that applies to your practice. Read the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Prescription and order details are sent on only when you choose to send an order to a connected lab. What that lab receives is also covered by the lab’s own terms.
United States clinics and health information
This service is not HIPAA-certified. If you practice in the United States, you must not store protected health information (PHI) here. Use the order-only choice at sign-up if you need to send lab orders without keeping patient names or contact details in Opto360.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not promise that it will be error-free, always online, or fit for a particular clinical or legal use. You check every order before you rely on it. Making the lenses still happens at the lab you send the order to, not inside this app.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our members are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost orders, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for a claim about Opto360 is limited to zero, except where a law says that limit is not allowed. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such a limit would be unlawful.
Ending the service
You may stop using Opto360 at any time. Email specshub@gmail.com to close the clinic account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we discontinue the service. When an account is closed, we delete that clinic’s data from Opto360 as described in the Privacy Policy. Orders you already chose to send to a connected lab are not deleted by closing this account.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to close the account.
